Fishermen will appreciate the peaceful atmosphere of the numerous bog lakes ( License required ) and other local rivers such as the Owenglen. For fine salmon fishing, the Ballynahinch Fishery (Permit required) – provides wonderful salmon and trout fishing. The shore fishing off the beaches and bays between Clifden and Roundstone is some of the best in Ireland. Deep-sea angling can be arranged through local skippers.
